Full Description
The mendel, or mandala offering set, is used to make the symbolic offering of the whole universe during Tibetan Buddhist practice. Concentric rings are stacked and filled with grain, then crowned with a central finial, recreating the cosmos in miniature as an act of generosity.
This older set carries the patina of genuine ritual use and stands as one of the more meaningful and visually complete objects of Tibetan altar art.
